Lauren Winney

Clinical Psychologist

I consider it a great privilege to bear witness to people’s stories, and to walk alongside those who are going through a difficult time. I take a collaborative approach to therapy, working together to make sense of your experiences, understand what may be contributing to your current difficulties, and support meaningful, lasting change.

  • Identity & self development (clarifying your values, improving communication and assertiveness, goal-setting, problem solving)

Therapy Modalities

I use various evidence-based therapies to create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your particular difficulties, priorities, and preferences.

Main modalities I use:

  • Schema Therapy

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Other approaches I integrate as appropriate:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Family systems therapy

  • Mindfulness-based therapies

  • Attachment and trauma informed therapy

  • Relational psychoanalytic therapy

These approaches allow us to work both with present-day challenges and with earlier experiences that may continue to shape them.
